It's a Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK and we're getting organised (see our beautiful Royal Duality item organiser board below!
The Royal Duality creator duo (known as Hyakuten) have met up for the first time in over 6 months! It was a fantastic opportunity for us to talk and finally test some of the game in the same room! It was also good to work together and collaborate on a number of small but significant changes to certain code in the game... which will, without a doubt, make the ending even more satisfying! There are many Easter Eggs for players to find...so keep your eyes peeled! Meanwhile here are a few more specific updates...
GRAPHICS: We are doing well with our beautiful sprites and their alternative outfits (but we can't show them off properly just yet so here's a blurry preview!). The sprites in the game not only have alternative poses, but they also have multiple costume changes depending on the game's outcome!
Also, some of our special insert graphics are looking very good too, but they're a little bit too spoilery for us to reveal here...so here's a flavour of what they look like.
CODING: The alpha build of Act 1 is complete! It's very exciting to see the game assets all come together and we're so excited to have reached this significant milestone! You can see a screenshot from the game's introduction section below :)
Our content team are also working really hard to keep the content safe and enjoyable for everyone...we will share the game's rating and content warnings once the whole game has been reviewed.
SOUND and VA: We also have the majority of game dialogue ready to import into the game engine!
We've collected all of the music we'll need for the game... all of which of course will be fully credited in the game, but it is all creative commons licensed and appropriate for use in our game.
Finally, we'll be sharing our voice actor interviews every month... they'll be 2 weeks after our blog update...we're so excited to share their stories and thoughts on working on Royal Duality.
